St. Petersburg

Hi!

Last weekend I went on a trip to St. Petersburg, Russia with my dad. We left on Friday on a cruise ship where we went to eat at a buffet, saw a show at a nightclub and danced a bit.

In the morning we jumped on a shuttle bus and started walking around after having some KFC for breakfast. Typical. I don't really know what else to tell other than we walked A LOT. St. Petersburg was beautiful and sometimes really reminded me of Helsinki.

There was this one building that didn't fit in one picture so I had to take 4:

We walked through Nevski prospekt most of the day which is a street full of expensive stores. Only things I could afford were beauty products so I dragged my dad in to every beauty store I saw and the Russian word for "cosmetics" became familiar to me really soon.

Then it was time to jump on another shuttle bus and go back to the ship. We went to eat at an Italian restaurant, saw a show at the nightclub and I just remember thinking that I'd go rest for a while in our cabin and then go maybe dance for a while. Next thing I heard was my alarm clock going off in the morning. And then I went straight to sleep when we got home. I had a lot of fun on the trip but man, I was tired.

Here's all the things I bought excluding the tax free things from the ship because those were just candy and gum. I bought these from a few different stores but I have no idea what the names were.

One of the stores had some OPIs for sale for about 5€ so I bought two, No room for the blues and A grape fit!
I also got Blue frosting (Diamond strength) and Hypnautical (Triple shine) from Sally Hansen.

Revlon lip butter in Cupcake, Bon Voyage blotting sheets and a Dolce Milk lipbalm in choholate mint.

They sold the Dolce Milk products in a few stores I visited. I saw the banana scented shower gel and just couldn't resist. It smells AMAZING. The strawberry one also looked like something I wanted to buy but they only had a hand soap in the first store, the second one they had the shower gel in a big container and then finally I found it that size and I got really happy. I almost regret not buying enough of these shower gels to last me the rest of my life because they smell amazing and they were pretty cheap too.

Okay I think that's all.

See you soon!

Colorful dots

Hi!

So since I got so many new nail polishes on Saturday, I obviously wanted to start using them asap. I looked through pinterest, youtube and nail blogs to get an idea for a nail art that I could do with the supplies I have here. I found these colorful ones with different variations from pinterest and since I didn't want to start with a difficult design, I went with this one. I had to get my Mint Candy Apple in use so I used that as a base. Now that I think about it, a white base would've probably been better.

The polishes I used:
Essie - Mint Candy Apple
BYS - Ultra Violet
Dermosil - Summer Glow
Essie - Shake Your $$ Makers
Essie - She's Picture Perfect
Essie - Blanc
Lumene Natural Code - Angry Birds 54
Color Club - Warhol

I made the dots with a bobby pin. Professional!

So I'm going to start posting my nail art here sometimes. Don't expect anything too fancy because 1. I haven't done nail art in AGES and 2. all of my supplies are in Rovaniemi.

See you soon!

Animals and nail polishes

Hi!

Somehow I won tickets to a pet, outlet, child and arts & crafts fair/expo from a contest on instagram so I asked Laura to join me and we decided to go. The expo was this weekend and I had really no idea what they had there that I'd be interested in but I found out the outlet expo had some pretty cheap nail polishes. It was nice because I'm getting more into nail art again, especially now that I have some new stuff. I ended up buying a bit more than I was planning on but I stayed in my budget the whole day, even after the expo!

Our friend joined us at the expo and after we had walked around for few hours, we decided to leave, go eat some Chinese food and go to few stores at the central. It was such a lovely weather outside. I'm so happy it's getting warmer!

Here's all the things I bought today:

China Glaze - Liquid Crystal, Essie - Mint Candy Apple (a nail polish I've wanted for YEARS), Blanc and Shake Your $$ Makers

Lumene Natural Code - Jewel Green, Angry Birds 54 and Pink Diamond and Lumene - Quick Sand (Jäljet hiekassa)

BYS - Ultra Violet, Diamond Glitter Satin and Emerald

We went to CesarsShop's store after the expo and I got a Nailfix cuticle oli in yummy gummy and Diamond Dazzling and Hexagon Dazzling glitters.

From a random craft store I got two tubes of holographic glitter to use on my nails and from Kicks I got a buffing nail file or whatever those are called :D

I had a really fun day and thanks girls for the company! :)

See you soon!

Where flowers bloom so does hope

Hi!

So since I have my DSLR camera with me in Helsinki, we went to take some pictures with Laura today. Once again we had no idea where to go so we drove to The Old Town of Porvoo which is a beautiful place to take some pictures in. It was a fun day and the weather was pretty great too which was nice. Here's some of the pictures:
