A week with a romper

Hi!

This week I challenged myself to wear one piece of clothing styled different ways for 5 days. I chose a romper/jumpsuit I recently bought from H&M as I wanted to see how many ways I could actually style it.

Monday

I felt like wearing something colorful to school so I paired the romper with a cardigan, blue tights, Converse and a colorful flower crown.

In the afternoon I went on a walk with my friend and just removed the flower crown.

Tuesday

Day off aka as comfortable clothes as possible. I put on a cardigan that I use usually around my house and super comfy socks.

Wednesday

It was a bit chillier day so I decided to put on a light jumper. To bring some color to the outfit, I put on pink leggings, Converse and obviously I had to add a flower crown as I'm obsessed with them.

Thursday

I was almost out of ideas this day but then I saw that someone had paired a romper with a flannel on pinterest. So I threw on a flannel, black leggings, Vans and once again, a flower crown.

Friday morning

Our school ended so I had a challenge to make the outfit a bit "dressy casual". I decided to go with a blazer kind of thing, sheer tights and black ballerina shoes. I wish it was warm enough to wear the romper without any kind of leggings or tights but maybe soon! It was really warm already today.

Friday afternoon

I spent the afternoon with my friend so I put on some more comfortable shoes as I'm not a fan of walking around in ballerina shoes and I also added a flower crown because why not.

Well this was very fun and different :D I wasn't really even bothered with wearing the same thing all week but I don't think I'll be doing that again for a while.

Happy summer to all of you! :)

See you soon!

Looking forward to summer

Hi!

I've decided this summer will be amazing. If not one of the best ones I've had. Here are some things I'm looking forward to:

Nightless nights. It's almost a tradition for me to go on a walk during midsummer when the sun doesn't set at all during the night. I know it's even lighter here in Lapland so I'm excited to see that again. It's been a while since I've been in Lapland during summer.

Hanging out with friends. We have so many things planned. I don't know how many things we'll be able to do but I'm excited to spend time with my friends as we might have more time during summer. I hope.

My summer job. I'll get to do something so different compared to what I've done previous summers and be around a bunch of new people. I've heard so many exciting things about the job and I'm so excited to start it.

My birthday. It's during midsummer once again which I love. I think I'm spending the day with my friends which will be great. And yes, I'll be singing Taylor Swift's 22 all day. Prepare.

One Direction concert. I could go on about this probably for hours because I still can't believe One Direction are actually coming to Finland!! As I'm writing this, there are 38 days left until the concert and that's not a lot...(what am I gonna wear???)  I'm just so excited to see the boys again and in my home country for the first time. It's the absolutely best feeling to be in a stadium filled with people who understand what the band and their music mean to me. It's going to be so amazing!

Meeting internet friends. As a lot of my twitter friends are coming to the concert, I'm hoping to meet at least a few of them while we're waiting for the concert to start. Also I'm probably most excited about meeting a girl I've been talking A LOT with for a while now. We're already planning on going to line up for the concert together as we're in the same section which is super exciting.

May LivBox

Hi!

So this month's livbox arrived and once again it was full of wonderful things. Here's what was inside:

Naturel - Nail Cover Stickers There are 20 stickers in the package. I'm not really sure what I'll do with these as I don't really use nail cover sticker but maybe I can try to include these in a manicure some way. The design is pretty nice so it would be a shame to not use them.
Lumene - Shimmering BB body lotion "Beautify your tan" what tan?? I'm not too excited about this product but I'll definitely try it out when it gets warmer.
Dove - Deeply Nourishing Body Wash I have so many shower gels and body washes but I guess you can never have too many. I think my skin is getting a bit dryer as we're getting towards summer so I think I'll put this in my shower right away.
Max Factor - Colour Elixir Giant Pen Stick Mine is in the shade Designer Blossom which is a beautiful and bright red. So basically made just for me. I love the color and I'm super excited about this.
La Roche-Posay - Thermal Spring Water Oh. My. God. I had a bottle of another brand's thermal spring water and it was my favorite thing ever during summer time. I had almost forgot about it until I saw this in the box. It's just such a multipurpose product. Thank you livbox for reminding me that these exist :D
Nivea - Lip Butter I wanted to scream when I saw this!! I saw these in the store the other day and almost bought one as I LOVE the Nivea lip butters but I'm glad I didn't. I already know this will be a great product.

We also got a Max Factor pencil sharpener (which I needed a lot!!) and a coupon code to kauneutta.com for -20% (LIVBOX valid until 31.5.2015)

So basically the box was pretty wonderful. I feel like livbox is stalking me because I once again got products that I've wanted to/ needed to buy :D

See you soon!

The little green feather

Hi!

So as I said, I want to start doing some nail art related posts on my blog too. I had promised to do my friend's nails on Saturday but they surprised me by decorating my house and coming over today so I got out all of my nail art things and we started thinking about ideas. I had an idea to do splatter nails with a straw but for some reason it didn't work at all so that was weird. We went with water decals and glitters instead. This was the first time I've ever used water decals and I kind of like them a lot.

The polishes I used:
Essie - Blanc
OPI -  No Room For The Blues
OPI - A Grape Fit!
Essie - Shake Your $$ Makers
+ some holographic glitter and feather water decals.

And in honor of May Day, my friend decided to decorate the box I made to have a white background for nail polish pictures :DD

See you soon!

St. Petersburg

Hi!

Last weekend I went on a trip to St. Petersburg, Russia with my dad. We left on Friday on a cruise ship where we went to eat at a buffet, saw a show at a nightclub and danced a bit.

In the morning we jumped on a shuttle bus and started walking around after having some KFC for breakfast. Typical. I don't really know what else to tell other than we walked A LOT. St. Petersburg was beautiful and sometimes really reminded me of Helsinki.

There was this one building that didn't fit in one picture so I had to take 4:

We walked through Nevski prospekt most of the day which is a street full of expensive stores. Only things I could afford were beauty products so I dragged my dad in to every beauty store I saw and the Russian word for "cosmetics" became familiar to me really soon.

Then it was time to jump on another shuttle bus and go back to the ship. We went to eat at an Italian restaurant, saw a show at the nightclub and I just remember thinking that I'd go rest for a while in our cabin and then go maybe dance for a while. Next thing I heard was my alarm clock going off in the morning. And then I went straight to sleep when we got home. I had a lot of fun on the trip but man, I was tired.

Here's all the things I bought excluding the tax free things from the ship because those were just candy and gum. I bought these from a few different stores but I have no idea what the names were.

One of the stores had some OPIs for sale for about 5€ so I bought two, No room for the blues and A grape fit!
I also got Blue frosting (Diamond strength) and Hypnautical (Triple shine) from Sally Hansen.

Revlon lip butter in Cupcake, Bon Voyage blotting sheets and a Dolce Milk lipbalm in choholate mint.

They sold the Dolce Milk products in a few stores I visited. I saw the banana scented shower gel and just couldn't resist. It smells AMAZING. The strawberry one also looked like something I wanted to buy but they only had a hand soap in the first store, the second one they had the shower gel in a big container and then finally I found it that size and I got really happy. I almost regret not buying enough of these shower gels to last me the rest of my life because they smell amazing and they were pretty cheap too.

Okay I think that's all.

See you soon!

Colorful dots

Hi!

So since I got so many new nail polishes on Saturday, I obviously wanted to start using them asap. I looked through pinterest, youtube and nail blogs to get an idea for a nail art that I could do with the supplies I have here. I found these colorful ones with different variations from pinterest and since I didn't want to start with a difficult design, I went with this one. I had to get my Mint Candy Apple in use so I used that as a base. Now that I think about it, a white base would've probably been better.

The polishes I used:
Essie - Mint Candy Apple
BYS - Ultra Violet
Dermosil - Summer Glow
Essie - Shake Your $$ Makers
Essie - She's Picture Perfect
Essie - Blanc
Lumene Natural Code - Angry Birds 54
Color Club - Warhol

I made the dots with a bobby pin. Professional!

So I'm going to start posting my nail art here sometimes. Don't expect anything too fancy because 1. I haven't done nail art in AGES and 2. all of my supplies are in Rovaniemi.

See you soon!
