May LivBox

Hi!

So this month's livbox arrived and once again it was full of wonderful things. Here's what was inside:

Naturel - Nail Cover Stickers There are 20 stickers in the package. I'm not really sure what I'll do with these as I don't really use nail cover sticker but maybe I can try to include these in a manicure some way. The design is pretty nice so it would be a shame to not use them.
Lumene - Shimmering BB body lotion "Beautify your tan" what tan?? I'm not too excited about this product but I'll definitely try it out when it gets warmer.
Dove - Deeply Nourishing Body Wash I have so many shower gels and body washes but I guess you can never have too many. I think my skin is getting a bit dryer as we're getting towards summer so I think I'll put this in my shower right away.
Max Factor - Colour Elixir Giant Pen Stick Mine is in the shade Designer Blossom which is a beautiful and bright red. So basically made just for me. I love the color and I'm super excited about this.
La Roche-Posay - Thermal Spring Water Oh. My. God. I had a bottle of another brand's thermal spring water and it was my favorite thing ever during summer time. I had almost forgot about it until I saw this in the box. It's just such a multipurpose product. Thank you livbox for reminding me that these exist :D
Nivea - Lip Butter I wanted to scream when I saw this!! I saw these in the store the other day and almost bought one as I LOVE the Nivea lip butters but I'm glad I didn't. I already know this will be a great product.

We also got a Max Factor pencil sharpener (which I needed a lot!!) and a coupon code to kauneutta.com for -20% (LIVBOX valid until 31.5.2015)

So basically the box was pretty wonderful. I feel like livbox is stalking me because I once again got products that I've wanted to/ needed to buy :D

See you soon!

Colorful dots

Hi!

So since I got so many new nail polishes on Saturday, I obviously wanted to start using them asap. I looked through pinterest, youtube and nail blogs to get an idea for a nail art that I could do with the supplies I have here. I found these colorful ones with different variations from pinterest and since I didn't want to start with a difficult design, I went with this one. I had to get my Mint Candy Apple in use so I used that as a base. Now that I think about it, a white base would've probably been better.

The polishes I used:
Essie - Mint Candy Apple
BYS - Ultra Violet
Dermosil - Summer Glow
Essie - Shake Your $$ Makers
Essie - She's Picture Perfect
Essie - Blanc
Lumene Natural Code - Angry Birds 54
Color Club - Warhol

I made the dots with a bobby pin. Professional!

So I'm going to start posting my nail art here sometimes. Don't expect anything too fancy because 1. I haven't done nail art in AGES and 2. all of my supplies are in Rovaniemi.

See you soon!

Animals and nail polishes

Hi!

Somehow I won tickets to a pet, outlet, child and arts & crafts fair/expo from a contest on instagram so I asked Laura to join me and we decided to go. The expo was this weekend and I had really no idea what they had there that I'd be interested in but I found out the outlet expo had some pretty cheap nail polishes. It was nice because I'm getting more into nail art again, especially now that I have some new stuff. I ended up buying a bit more than I was planning on but I stayed in my budget the whole day, even after the expo!

Our friend joined us at the expo and after we had walked around for few hours, we decided to leave, go eat some Chinese food and go to few stores at the central. It was such a lovely weather outside. I'm so happy it's getting warmer!

Here's all the things I bought today:

China Glaze - Liquid Crystal, Essie - Mint Candy Apple (a nail polish I've wanted for YEARS), Blanc and Shake Your $$ Makers

Lumene Natural Code - Jewel Green, Angry Birds 54 and Pink Diamond and Lumene - Quick Sand (Jäljet hiekassa)

BYS - Ultra Violet, Diamond Glitter Satin and Emerald

We went to CesarsShop's store after the expo and I got a Nailfix cuticle oli in yummy gummy and Diamond Dazzling and Hexagon Dazzling glitters.

From a random craft store I got two tubes of holographic glitter to use on my nails and from Kicks I got a buffing nail file or whatever those are called :D

I had a really fun day and thanks girls for the company! :)

See you soon!

January 2015 Livbox

Hi!

This year's first Livbox came in the mail couple days ago. It wasn't one of my favorite ones but I'm pretty excited to try everything. Here's what was inside:

Philosophy - The Microdelivery Peel Kit If you only knew how excited I got when I heard Livbox were working with Philosophy and we would get their products in the boxes. This one is a two-step in-home peel and the results are supposed to be immediate and remarkable. In the box we had foil packets of what is included in this peel and it will probably last for one use so I'm interested to see how immediate the results are. (76€ / 60 + 60 ml)
Rimmel - BB Cream 9 in 1 I'm kind of not a fan of getting bb creams in Livbox. I mean I would love it if I wasn't as pale as Voldemort. Even though this bb cream is in shade light, it will probably be a bit too dark for me and I will definitely still try it because it sounds pretty interesting. This 9 in 1 bb cream promises to prime, moisturize, minimize pores, conceal, cover, smooth, mattify, brighten and help protect. It also has spf 25. (11,90€ / 30 ml)
La Roche-Posay - Lipikar Baume AP+ balm A balm you use daily. Mostly suitable for very dry or sensitive skin. My face does get really dry especially during winter (it's been even worse in Lapland) and not a lot of things have worked so I'm excited to see how this one works for me. (9€ / 200 ml)
Lumene - Ultra sensitive moisturizing and calming mask I'm always up for trying new face masks so this was nice to get. It's supposed to help to minimize skin irritation, redness and tightness and provide optimal moisture. (17,90€ / 75ml)
Cutrin - Chooz Multivolumizer This product promises volume, body and texture for all hair lengths. It contains UV-, anti-humidity and heat protection. It's also apparently developed especially for Nordic hair and for Nordic conditions. My only problem with this is that you're supposed to blow dry your hair after using this but I let my hair air dry. I might still try out how it works without blow drying. (15,90 / 150ml)

See you soon!

Christmas break haul

Hi!

So since I'm back in Helsinki and the after Christmas sales are going on, I've been doing way too much shopping for the past 2 days so I thought I'd show you what I got. I think only few things I bought weren't on sale.

A new thermos mug from Starbucks to keep my tea in on school mornings.

I went to look for a new book to read from Akateeminen and my friend recommended this and it sounded pretty interesting.

From Kicks I got IsaDora's peel off base for nails and Hugo Boss's Jour Pour Femme body lotion.

The Body Shop had brought back couple of their body scrubs I had missed when they were on sale so I got the raspberry one. It literally smells like raspberry jam.

From Sokos I got IsaDora's transparent lip liner, Rimmel's stay matte powder, a back up for my favorite makeup sponge from Cailap, Rimmel's Scandaleyes mascara, I Love... hand soaps in Raspberry & Blackberry and Mango & Papaya and Cleansing wipes from Nivea.

A book about how to keep your apartment clean and put together in a laid back way. I will probably need this more than I even know.

Went to Sokos again and got a GOSH lip lacquer in Crispy lips, a lip brush from We Care Icon and a night cream from Lumene.

I went to a different Kicks and almost died when I saw they had Dior eyeshadows HALF OFF. I've been dreaming about owning one of these for about 5 years so I just had to get one. This one was in 954 Pink Pompadour.

I went a bit crazy in Lush since their holiday stuff was half off. I got sets called Cozy Christmas and Good Tidings. Both of them include different kind of shower and skin care stuff.

Lastly we went to a toy store and I just had to get all the ridiculous One Direction stuff because why not. They were all on sale anyway. I got a secret diary (not so secret anymore) that is also a pillow, some toothbrushes (which are probably the funniest things I've seen), a singing toothbrush, stickers and some Frozen sticker packs.

See you soon!

Blogmas day 3

Hi!

Today I thought I'd share my dream Christmas wish list. I didn't really ask for anything this year other than couple of things that mom is probably going to tell to relatives and family friends. My dad already bought me a flight to Helsinki so I told my parents that's enough because I get to spend Christmas with my family :)
But you know, a girl can always dream. What if I could put literally anything on my Christmas wish list? It would probably look a little like this:

Dior eyeshadow quad
I go drool over these once in a while because they are so pretty but I don't think I'll ever get to actually own one because they are so expensive.

Clarisonic Mia 2
I was actually thinking about wishing for this this year since they finally sell Clarisonics in Finland. I've been so into skin care lately that this would be just perfect right now.

Wildfox jumper
I see people wear these all the time and all the designs on these jumpers are just so pretty and cute. But once again, way too expensive.

Harry Potter complete series
I've wanted to get the Harry Potter books in English for such a long time now and especially this set looks really pretty and I'd love to have that on my bookshelf.

MAC lip glosses from the Holiday collection
MAC always brings out the most beautiful holiday collections and ah, maybe someday...

Urban Decay - Naked Vault
This is probably on every UD lovers' wish list this year. Unfortunately they were really limited and are sold out like everywhere.

A band member
Preferably from One Direction. I promise to feed him!

See you soon!

Two faced

Hi!

I was catching up on blog posts last night and saw that my friend Laura had done a blog post with a little challenge she had found. The challenge is to only do your makeup for half of your face, show the difference and discuss makeup a little bit. I actually found a few other people's posts about this and it's interesting to see how much makeup changes how you look.

Makeup is a big part of my morning routine. I usually play some feel good music from my laptop while I do my makeup before I leave for school or whatever I'm doing that day. What I use really depends on how much time I have and what I feel like doing that day. Lately I've been using foundation, concealer (mostly only under my eyes), powder, bronzer, blush, mascara, eyebrow pen, lipstick and lipgloss. Some days I also put on some eyeshadow if I feel like it.

I don't wear makeup to feel confident or for anyone else but myself. It's just something I enjoy doing and I love trying out new products. I feel like taking some time for myself in the morning while I put on makeup is pretty relaxing. Even though I would rather leave the house with makeup on, it's not the end of the world if that doesn't happen.

September Livbox

Hi!

I didn't have the best day today after oversleeping in the morning and missing the first class. I absolutely HATE being late so I felt awful about it all school day. I also knew that I had to go to the store after school and I wasn't really in the mood to do that but what inspired me to get off my butt and go outside was a package waiting for me in the post office. This month's LivBox had arrived!

September's theme was transforming into fall and all the new products released in fall. Once again, this box had a few products I've been meaning to get new ones of for a while now but never got around. It's like they know me and my cosmetic needs hahaha. I loved the box and I've been so so so pleased with the last two boxes especially. Now let's take a look what was in my box:

L'Occitaine - Shea Butter Hand Cream I've heard about these hand creams A LOT but never got myself one. The tube is pretty small so I put it in my backpack to take with me to school so I can try it out there.
L'oréal Paris - Elnett Satin Volum Excess (hair spray) I actually just needed a new hairspray.
L'oréal Paris - Skin Perfection Unifying Day Moisturizer ...and I needed a new moisturizer too :D Pretty excited about this one.
Nivea - Lip Butter Blueberry Blush I actually had to hold back a scream when I saw this in the box. Nivea's lip butters are my favorite and I had no idea they had a new one. I absolutely love anything that is blueberry scented too and this smelled just wonderful.
Katy Perry - Royal Revolution (perfume) I've been a fan of Katy's previous perfumes but this one was a bit too strong for me. I will probably give it to a friend or something.
Lumene - Clear it up! (face wash) I just tried this out in a shower and liked it. I can't really form a good enough opinion after using it for few days other than it smells pretty good :D

See you soon!

Surprise package from LivBox

Hi!

It's been about a month since I heard that I LivBox would be sending me a surprise package in the mail because I sent them a reaction picture of me opening July's box. Because of my move during the time the package was sent, it never got to me until I emailed LivBox. They have an absolutely amazing customer service and we finally got things sorted out and the package arrived today.

Now the first surprise was the amount of products I was treated with. I was expecting like 3-4, not 6. Here's what I got:

MSCHIC lipgloss in Baby Pink I don't think I actually have a lipgloss that's anything similar to this shade so I'm pretty excited. I almost screamed when I saw this in the package because I just love lip products :D
Clarins BB skin perfecting cream I just decided to switch from BB creams to foundation again but I'm sure I'll find use for this.
Louis Wildmer Cleansing Milk
Sally Hansen Diamond Strength nail polish in Sweetie Pie This color is soooo pretty! I absolutely love Sally Hansen nail polishes so I can't wait to give this a try.
Peppy Galore Diva toner This is the only product I knew about and I was so excited to get it. Peppy Galore closed down earlier this month and I had some regrets of not ever getting their toners but now I have one and I'm so excited to try it out.
Batiste Dry Shampoo (Original) I think I've stated earlier how much I love Batiste dry shampoos so I don't think I even need to say how excited I got when I saw this.

See you soon!
